Live Bar, August 27-London Evening News reported that Chelsea and Rome had asked Lukaku to lower his salary by 7 million pounds to push him to join the RedWolf Legion on loan.
Lukaku’s weekly salary in Chelsea is 325000 pounds and the annual salary is about 17 million pounds. Rome cannot pay this salary, and the Blues are not willing to subsidize it.
Chelsea also hoped lucaku would accept a pay cut in the remaining years of the contract-except for the rent-off contract next season, the pay cut was kept until 2026. Rome was only willing to pay 7 million pounds for the striker’s lease.
